Hello there! My name is Kara
Holland and I am a 2nd grade teacher in
Texas. I've taught Kindergarten and 3rd
grade and now I am exactly where I want to be…in Second! This is my second year
with this age group and I couldn't ask for a better grade!

from Dallas, my husband and I moved to Houston to follow his dream to be a
Physical Therapist, and that is where we have been for the past three years. We
were married in Destin, Florida June 18, 2011 with all of our family and friends there to support us. This is one of my favorite memories and what inspired me to make my classroom beach themed.
We have a fur baby named Addie whom we adore!
In
my free time I love watching lifetime movies, shopping, spending time with
family, playing any kind of games (board, card, bowling, mini
golf etc.) creating
things for my classroom, and boogie boarding at the beach.
Ever
since I took a microcomputers class in college, I have been obsessed with
creating things on the computer and love being able to use those things in the
classroom. I started this blog to share ideas and get inspired by other
teachers.
